#Day79 Watching #LastManStanding with Charlie and Nola. That show always makes us laugh!

Today I felt kinda meh. I finished baking cookies, frosted a bunch of them, and delivered them to my friend Paula. We had a really nice visit. We always have such nice chats.
When I came home I spent the day watching Netflix and feeling blah. But delicious leftovers and catching up on Last Man Standing. This show cracks us up! We just discussed, that while we're both very liberal when it comes to politics, the liberal dude on the show is so annoying we always like the hard core republican over him. Hah, that's not what we ever expected!
Anyway, family time and laughter is the best combination!

Windy Photography

I've been really exhausted recently and have been dozing off on the couch right after coming home from work. So on Wednesday I decided that wasn't going to happen and took a 5-hour-energy before driving home. When I arrived at home, Charlie was about to leave for class, so the dog and I decided to join and look for some picture opportunities on campus. I also discovered that wind is rarely helpful in taking pictures.
I love the color of this flower. How it's sharp and in focus, but still looks really soft.

This picture really shows I need some photo editing software! At least something to crop the flower out of the distracting background of the fence.

Noli decided to chase squirrels. She always thinks she is such a mighty huntress!

Standing at attention.

I thought this tree just looked simply fluffy. I liked seeing the motion of the tree.

Fluffy needles blowing in the wind!

Fall is coming! The leaves are turning that beautiful candy apple red.

Here are some more flower pictures:

And here are some more leaves:

Only in Oregon would you still find random strawberries growing.

As you can see, I've been mostly interested in close up pictures of everything. Well, except for my dog. Going forward I'm going to be working on relearning how to shoot in manual. When I first started I had to do everything in manual, because my dad's old slr left me no option. Then I got spoiled by the auto setting and kind of forgot how to shoot in manual. I will be working on regaining that skill.

#Day78

My former professor  and friend Paula was craving sugar cookies, and apparently the ones at the store are yucky, so she asked me to make some. I learned that sugar cookies are actually really hard to make. I did not know that! But I made three batches since the first one didn't turn out. Frustrating, but happy I got it right in the end after all.

#Day77 Getting to play with this tiny teddywuff at work.

One of my clients just got this little ball of fluff. He is such a cutie, and so darn tiny! Only two weeks old. His little barks were like tiny squeaks. So fuzzy!

#Day76 Working on my blog (or rather fighting blogger) and drinking tea out of my favorite tea mug from @meyggy

I got home early from work and managed to not just crash and nap on the couch. I came home and Charlie was about to walk to class, so Noli and I decided to walk him there and see if we could find some good motives for a little bit of photography. Nola even got to chase squirrels. I then spent a lot of time working on the blog and fighting the layout until I was finally able to get it to do more or less what I wanted. I then worked on catching up on the #100happydays posts.

#Day75 Homemade bread from scratch!

Now this is real from scratch cooking for me. I love this bread so much! The recipe is actually from another blog that I will reference back to when I make my own post about it. I don't want to rip her off, so I most likely won't be posting the full recipe. It is the easiest and most fool proof bread that I have ever made!

#Day74 Trying something new. Not sure I'll make this again, but trying new things is supposed to be good.

I was looking for different chicken and rice casserole recipes. I could not seem to find a recipe that didn't use canned cream of chicken. Ironically I found this recipe on a blog about cooking from scratch. Now, I'm not trying to knock a fellow blogger, but I guess we have different definitions of "from scratch". My definition doesn't include lipton onion mix or canned concentrated cream of anything. I'm glad I tried something new, now I know that I don't like it. Good info though, right?
